Back, after two years after going from a Developer to a Solution Architect

By | March 20, 2020

So guys, shortly after I published my last post “10 years as a Web Developer”, a Solution Architect position came up, so I went for it and got it.

Was I ready hell no!

Would I ever have been ready… maybe.

But I went for it because it would propel my career.

So for the last two years I have been busy finding my feet in my new role, new problems due to the new responsibilities.

But I’m back and back with a vengeance.

I will be back to blogging and posting useful content. On two different media platforms, this blog and YouTube

Get out of your comfort zone, because when you are ready it will be too late

Yes I have started my own YouTube channel after posting my first video last week after procrastinating for a long time. UntilI thought fuck I will never be ready and I pulled the trigger and filmed, edited and uploaded in 3 hours.

Why havI started a YouTube … well when I became a Solution Architect in 2018, I wished there was a YouTube channel which gave advice and guidance on what the hell was required of an Architect and what I needed to do?

Yes you have frameworks like TOGAF, and there are a lot of courses around that, but where was the day to day examples?

People say “Architect is about the stuff you can’t Google”, well I want to change that!!!

So stay tuned. And go check out my first YouTube video.
